Title "You are a Winner" Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 2:14 says “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”

Here in our text I want to point out one of The main themes in 1 and 2 Corinthians that revolves around Christian conduct, that only in Christ Jesus we are WINNERS. I don’t want to talk so much about the issues and the problems of the Corinthians church. Because the truth be told, all of our churches have problems. However I do want to address a few concerns of the Corinthians church as well as the Body of Christ today. I also want to emphasize to the Body of believers on how the power of God is displayed through human weaknesses to overcome any challenges that we may face………(sickness, poverty, low self esteem, whatever the case may be you're victorious in Christ).

In the text Paul addresses specific practical and theological issues that arose in the young, yet deeply troubled, Corinthian community which still plague many of our churches and communities today. Paul is explaining to the Corinthians as well as to the body of believers today. That in spite of all the problems of immortality, challenges of disunity, false doctrine, sexual immorality and many, many more. Again in spite of all of these things going on. The Apostle Paul wanted to ensure us that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the same God that will lead the church and the body of believers in a triumphant procession through Christ, who is our victorious leader.

Jesus gives us the same winning power to be overcomers against defeat, failure etc. As a believer “YOU ARE A WINNER” so in our text we can appreciate what Paul encourages the Corinthians church with by saying, Now thanks be unto God,………….notice what the word says, now thanks be unto God…….. it does not say thanks be unto your problems, nor thanks be unto your home or anything else, but we are to thank God for the assurance of the conquering power of Christ………. We are to thank Him Now, not tomorrow, now not next week, now! Someone might say, I can’t because I’m broke……… the word of the lord says give God thanks now!

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ

Now thanks be unto God, who causes us to win in Christ

Now, is the time for the church to raise up, from disparity

King David being a type of Christ, displays the vivid imagery of the triumphant paradigms that can only be performed by the triumphant power of Christ!

We see the victorious power of our Lord in 1 Samuel 17:49 “And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell, giving victory to King David

1 Corinthians 15:55 “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” Neither death nor the grave have victory over what Christ did on Calvary Cross For believers, to have power over sin and death.

I want to declare to you today that you will have supernatural VICTORY over your circumstances in Jesus name. I decree and declare, that you have VICTORY over any mental stresses it His wisdom and courage not to be fooled.

I want to pray for you:

If you don’t know the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, if you say this with me. I am a sinner who needs to be saved and according to Romans 10:9-10 “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

If you need healing in your body, I want to pray Psalms 103:1-3“Bless the LORD, O my soul: And all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases;”

Finally I want to pray for your family and loved ones. The protection covenant prayer of Psalms 91“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold And see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, Even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, And shew him my salvation.”
